Facilities technician

Our food client is seeking a Facilities/maintenance technician to maintain the function and reliability of all building utilities and the building infrastructure along with grounds maintenance.


  • Identifies standard tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices
  • Leads in the installation, maintenance and repair of designated building systems
  • Maintains record of materials and labor expended per assignment
  • Identified and corrects building and equipment problems by performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and HVAC to maintain buildings and equipment in safe condition
  • Inspects facilities (houses, trilaers, buildings) equipment, generators, compressors, systems
  • Obtains written estiamtes for repairs
  • Recommends building modifications to improve or alter existing systems
  • Plans and scheudles corrective actions and preventative maintenance to repair or modity defects
  • May be required to respond to 24 hour calls
  • Oversees vendors
  • Provides technical expertise to facilities personnel and outside contractors
  • Provides directions, guidance and instruction to others
  • Trains co-workers to perform preventive maintenance and repair on equipment and produce monthly reports using technical manuals

Job Requirements:


 This positions requires 3 years of Facilities Maintenance Workers in the food industry and possession of journey-level certification in area of assignment or 6 years of commercial or institutional experince in the (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing etc. ) including 2 years of experience in an additional field
