YaSabe Unveils Location-Aware iPhone App for U.S. Hispanics
YaSabe, a Hispanic local search company, released a new bilingual iPhone application specifically designed for U.S. Hispanics. Available for free download from the App Store and from iTunes, the new bilingual search and browse application helps users discover their options and find local businesses nearby – based on their location. Users can search and browse in Spanish or English and change the distance that they want to look to find out what’s available around them.
“More than 25% of all iPhone users in the United States are Hispanic”, said Zubair Talib, President of YaSabe, “The YaSabe iPhone application is the first local search application built specifically for Latinos here in the US”.
The YaSabe iPhone application lets users search in Spanish or English by name, product, service, or category for any of the 15,000,000 local businesses in the US. YaSabe highlights those businesses that speak Spanish and that particularly appreciate and welcome Hispanic customers and you can get one-click directions to any business right from your current GPS location.
For people who want help selecting the right local business, the built-in Ayudame feature lets users ask YaSabe’s human editors for help – directly from their mobile device.
YaSabe released a similar next-generation mobile application for Android phones, which is available for free from the Android Marketplace.
YaSabe provides mobile and local search for U.S. Hispanics, offering unique bilingual content and innovative technology to help consumers search and browse for local businesses from mobile devices and from their PCs. The company also provides a human-powered social concierge service for Hispanics called Ayudame where consumers can ask YaSabe’s experts and others for help in finding the right local business. Launched in 2010, YaSabe has already provided results for millions of queries from Hispanics searching online for local businesses at YaSabe.com and from Google, Bing and other Hispanic websites like PaginasAmarillas.com and holaciudad. YaSabe sells subscription-based advertising products to local businesses and national brands that want to reach Hispanic consumers who are searching online. Ya Sabe was awarded the Top Hispanic Digital Media Innovation of 2011 at Portada’s 5th Annual Hispanic Digital and Print Media Conference
