Field Service Technician II: Memphis

Recruiting@MAPCO seeks an experienced field service tech with Gilbarco experience and/or certification. This role will focus on mantaining stores in Memphis and surrounding areas.

SUMMARY: Primary function of this role is to provide technical support and maintenance for all retail locations, including installing, maintaining and troubleshooting all systems, equipment, and facilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs timely and accurate installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repairs for MAPCO's stores and facilities as needed.
  • Utilizing a web-based maintenance tracking system, receive, update, complete, and invoice assigned work orders per established SLAs to meet department metrics and guidelines.
  • Responds to work orders and requests with a sense of urgency and appropriate response time dictated by the priority specified.
  • Effectively prioritize, plan and schedule work to ensure maximum utilization of time.
  • Collaborates to continuously improve processes and reduce expense, improve performance, increase quality, or improve communications.
  • Operates and maintains an assigned vehicle, keeping it stocked, organized, clean and serviced to improve its life and reduce expense.
  • Maintains training and re-certifications as required.
  • Respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours if needed, and occasional overnight travel.
 QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work from a ladder and to lift 50 lbs.

  • A self-starter with a thirst for knowledge, who pursues goals and objectives despite obstacles, resistance, or competition from others.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with third-party vendors and Sr. Management.
  • Ability to listen to a problem, analyze the problem, and develop the best solution.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding critical systems quickly, based on facts and experience.
 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma, trade school or other training helpful; 5+ years of experience; equivalent experience/education. Background in fuel and point of service systems with diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
