The YWCA is a nationwide organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. With 194 local associations across the United States, the YWCA has been at the forefront of addressing the biggest issues of the day for over 165 years. Their work focuses on three areas of focus: racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement, and health and safety. Through their programs, they aim to improve the lives of women, girls, and communities of color. In 2022 alone, the YWCA served nearly 1 million people through 860 programs, with 71% of those served being people of color and 59% being women and girls. They offer various ways to get involved, including becoming an advocate, donating, and joining their national campaigns. The YWCA is committed to making a difference and creating a society where everyone can thrive.
