Export/Import Logistics Customer Service Specialist

Our client, an international shipping company, located in Fort Lee/Englewood area is currently looking for an EXPORT/IMPORT LOGISTICS CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST . This is a small growing shipping company with growth potential for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must have international shipping industry experience along with 2+ years customer service experience. This is a direct hire position with full benefits. Salary $45,000 - $60,000/annual depending on experience.

Job Description
We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative. A customer service rep, acts as a liaison, provides service information and resolves any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. Customer service representatives can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and these CSRs can gather that. Problem-solving comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
• Manage large amounts of incoming calls and e-mails
• Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
• Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
• Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

Skills
• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Requirements
Minimum 2+ years experience in international logistics
Bachelor's Degree required
Salary: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year plus performance based bonus
COVID Vaccination is required

Benefits:

Health insurance – 65% paid by company
PTO – 1st year: 5 days accrued, 2nd year: 10 days accrued first year plus 3 personal days after 90 days
Bonus – based on company growth for the year and performance

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30pm to 5:00pm
