General Labor/Packer

Staff Source is seeking candidates for a client in East Chicago that is looking for reliable, eager and dedicated individuals to be part of their General Labor team with a starting pay rate of $16 per hour.  The General Labor position may lead to a temporary to permanent opportunity based on company needs, performance and attendance.  Once hired on with the company they will offer a hired on bonus of $750 and room to move up with the company. All interested Shipping and Receiving candidates are encouraged to apply within.

Job Duties:

•                     Operate a sit down forklift once trained

•                     Prepare products to be received or shipped from warehouse

•                     Properly identify and tag material

•                     Receive and record computer entries for all inbound materials

•                     Unload, unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages

•                     Package and prepare finished goods and other materials for shipment

•                     Perform work safely and in accordance with company standards and safety regulation

•                     Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

•                     Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check

•                     Must be able to pass the pre-employment physical

•                     Ability to succeed while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities

•                     Capability to work in a fast-paced environment

•                     Must be able to work 8-10hr shifts on first AND second shift

•                     Ability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time

•                     Strong attention to detail, flexible and reliable

•                     Capability to work independently while maintaining a positive team atmosphere
