Chief Service/Field Operations Officer

Company, a leading provider of high-quality landscaping installation, maintenance, and services, is seeking an experienced Chief Service/ Field Operations Officerto join our rapidly growing team, based in Wappingers Falls, NY.

As the Chief Service/ Field Operations Officer, you will work closely with the Director of Services and President/CEO and be responsible for operational leadership and excellence across the recurring services side of our company. This includes operational strategic planning, staff development and training, budgeting, information technology, human resources, finance, and administration.

What you’ll do as the Chief Service/ Field Operations Officer:

  • Provide operational leadership and oversight of the recurring services division, which includes:
    • Commercial and Residential Landscape Management
    • Plant and Turf Healthcare
    • Pool Services
    • Irrigation and Lighting Services
    • Snow and Holiday Decorating Operations
  • Oversee a staff of 80-100+ employees, including Administrators, Account Managers, Operation Managers, supervisors, and field crews
  • Direct and execute operational planning/budgeting, safety, and department profitability
  • Partner with HR in hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Develop and monitor operating metrics and drive strategies to continually improve efficiency, productivity, execution, quality, and customer satisfaction

What’s required of you:

  • 10+ years of experience overseeing business operations; preferably in a related industry
  • 3-5 years of experience managing and motivating a staff of more than 50 employees
  • Experience reading, tracking, and measuring financial statements
  • Technology savvy; proficient in MS Excel, budgeting software, digital estimating systems, etc.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work overnight, holidays, and weekends during snow and holiday seasons, and be available 24/7 during winter storm events

What will set you apart:

  • Experience managing operations and staff in the landscaping, outdoor services, or related industry
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CLP, CLT, pesticide application, etc.)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
