Pasta Flora with Caramel


  • 3 and 2/3 cups of flour 
  • 1 Teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 Pinch of salt
  • 6 ounces of butter 
  • ½ Cup of sugar
  • Lemon Zest 
  • 1 Egg
  • 10 ounces of Confectioner’s Milk Caramel
  • Essence of Vanilla
  • 3 cups of cold water


In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar and lemon zest. Punch a hole in the center with your fist to add cold butter chopped into squares. Form a grainy mixture by blending all ingredients together. Add egg, vanilla essence and water (if necessary), until a brittle dough is formed. Place in fridge for thirty minutes and cover with plastic wrap. Preheat oven to 350 F.

Once cool, use a rolling pin to help stretch the dough and use flour to avoid sticking. Mold dough to a 10-inch cake pan greased and sprinkled with flour. Fill with milk caramel. Make strips from the remaining dough and cover the sweet tart, intertwining strips with one another. Turn the edges inward and bake for half an hour or until golden brown. Serve well chilled!
