VP of Global Sales

ISC 's team of Sales Recruiters has been retained to identify a VP of Global Sales and Business Development in the Poughkeepsie, NY area. Our client is a leading industry manufacturer with a focus on the identification of OEM customers.

The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for the forecasting, sales, and strategic business development, as well as the design and execution of a global sales strategy. This individual will be responsible for seeking new opportunities, potential acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as mentoring and leading the sales team. Our client is open to a remote/hybrid role but prefers onsite.

VP of Global Sales and Business Development Qualifications:

  • Bachelor 's Degree (technical discipline preferred); Master 's Degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive sales experience
  • 10+ years of experience developing and serving OEM customers
  • 10+ years of experience in the virtual imaging, display, OLED, wafer, or AR/VR industries
  • Extensive mentoring, training, and leadership experience to build business, along with working hands-on with the team, attending conferences, and setting targets and sales plans
  • Strong understanding of the OEM environment, issues, trends, and sales strategies
  • Proven background of driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers and developing new sales channels, while building strong relationships
  • Utilizing strategic market analysis to direct and influence R&D efforts and product innovation
  • M&A and corporate development experience
  • Ability to understand highly technical concepts and communicate these to customers and prospects
  • Highly analytical, strategic, hands-on, influential, innovative, and collaborative, with strong negotiation, forecasting, time management, and presentation skills

VP of Global Sales and Business Development Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the global sales and business development with a focus on OEM customers in the military, training and simulation, commercial, industrial, medical, and consumer industries
  • Take ownership for revenue targets and sales projections
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the current sales function
  • Provide leadership and direction while holding the team accountable and pulling them together
  • Manage all direct and indirect sales channels, making strategic improvements when necessary
  • Follow industry trends and use the knowledge of client challenges to develop sales programs
  • Continue to grow the current markets, while identifying new markets and channels
  • Identify, analyze, and report key metrics
  • Manage budgets and resources
  • Establish credibility and influence with internet and external customers
  • Travel approximately 25-50%
