The Field Service Technician provides superior and timely pre- and post-sales support to all customers worldwide while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the industry.  The Field Service Technician provides technical support for all system components including computer, electro-mechanical components, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.  The Field Service Technician has shared responsibility for service and warranty support, customer training, site inspections, customer expedited service and parts solutions for project installations.

Specific Responsibilities:

Remotely monitors NRT systems to insure optimal product operations at customer sites through onsite and remote HMI interfaces. Troubleshoots computer, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults at customer sites.

Provides in-depth pre- and post-sales support to end-users for the complete NRT product line and systems. Interfaces with customers on-site to deliver product and service training.

Assists with development and maintenance of technical documentation including operator’s manuals, service manuals and training materials.

Provides feedback to R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing groups to improve product performance and serviceability.

Provides warranty support. Sells preventative maintenance programs and spare parts packages.

Documents all customer contact. Writes reports as needed.

Associates degree preferred with 2+ years’ experience in a technical field service role involving electrical and mechanical systems (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Electrical and pneumatic machine experience preferred. Experience with variable frequency drives and troubleshooting automation equipment also a plus. Must be able to clearly communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing to various audiences.  Ability to provide after-hours support or be on call required Upbeat, positive, high energy with a “can do” attitude; reacts well under pressure Extremely reliable and dependable:  Timely and complete deliverables are the norm.

Location - NRT in Nashville.

NOTE -Technicians are given a company credit card for their travel and of course other expenses are reimbursable in line with NRT policies.  Important to know – the travel is 60% or more and TRAVEL is both US and International
