Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:
The General Manager position is responsible for the successful operations of a restaurant, with accountability for:
- Â Â Â Â Â Managing and directing the work of restaurant associates
- Â Â Â Â Â Achieving restaurant financial targets
- Â Â Â Â Â Recruiting and hiring restaurant associates
- Â Â Â Â Â Training, coaching, developing, and disciplining restaurant associates
- Â Â Â Â Â Providing for the safety and security of guests and associates
- Â Â Â Â Â Responding to guests and associate complaints and consulting with other company resources as necessary
- Â Â Â Â Â Ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences
- Â Â Â Â Â Promoting brand awareness
- Â Â Â Â Â Models continuous learning of serving skills and product knowledge for the floor staff
- Â Â Â Â Â Recommends operational policies to Companyâs management to improve operations

- Â Â Â Â Â Thorough knowledge of recipes including cooking processes and procedures Â
- Â Â Â Â Â Thorough knowledge of FOH and HOH responsibilities
- Â Â Â Â Â Knowledge of trends affecting the food service industry and the competitive market
- Â Â Â Â Â Knowledge of labor law and Ippudo workplace policies and procedures
- Â Â Â Â Â Complete understanding of financial measures and performance
- Â Â Â Â Â Strong leadership and team building skills
- Â Â Â Â Â Strong financial management skills
- Â Â Â Â Â Strong communication (oral and written), listening, training, and assessment skills
- Â Â Â Â Â Ability to teach food and work safety to restaurant associates and take inventory correctly
- Â Â Â Â Â Ability to influence others, resolve complex problems, and facilitate processes
- Â Â Â Â Â Ability to embrace change and continuous learning
Education and Experience:
- Â Â Â Â Â High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelorâs degree preferred
- Â Â Â Â Â Minimum two years of restaurant operations experience required
- Â Â Â Â Â Full-service restaurant experience preferred
- Â Â Â Â Â Management experience preferred
- Â Â Â Â Â Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Â Â Â Â Â Must have reliable transportation
- Â Â Â Â Â Must be at least 21 years old
Food Safety:
- Â Â Â Â Â Must be Serve Safe certified
Restaurant Conditions:Â
- Â Â Â Â Â Kitchen areas often hot with steam and food vapors
- Â Â Â Â Â Hot kitchens with high noise levels
- Â Â Â Â Â Limited work space depending on location
Physical Requirements:Â
- Â Â Â Â Â Remains standing for long periods of time
- Â Â Â Â Â Reaches across counter tops
- Â Â Â Â Â Occasionally reaches high storage shelving with the use of step ladder
- Â Â Â Â Â Performs repetitive tasks
- Â Â Â Â Â Cross training includes use of restaurant equipment
- Â Â Â Â Â Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with hot and cold foods
- •Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Â
