Vision y Compromiso is a community-based organization that empowers and supports promotores (promoters) and community health workers in California and Mexico. They work to improve the health and well-being of Latino families by providing training, advocacy, and leadership opportunities. Vision y Compromiso elevates the voice of promotores and ensures that their work is valued and recognized. The organization supports a network of over 4,000 promotores and community health workers across 13 regions, with plans to expand throughout the United States. They use popular education methodologies to build skills and increase capacity in local communities, promoting healthy environments for Latino families. Vision y Compromiso is also involved in advocacy efforts to address issues like domestic violence. Through their work, they aim to create positive change and improve the overall health outcomes for Latino communities.
