They follow the guidelines and principles of SOS International, providing a safe and secular setting for individuals seeking sobriety. Their autonomous local groups focus solely on helping individuals achieve and maintain sobriety, without imposing any religious or spiritual beliefs. SOS-NY embraces a rational and open-minded outlook towards addiction recovery, respecting all forms of recovery and not competing with other programs or groups. They encourage the scientific study of addiction and offer ongoing SOS meetings in and around New York State. SOS-NY is a non-discriminatory organization, welcoming all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, or religious affiliation. They also provide online meetings and offer resources and support for addiction-related issues. Your donations to SOS-NY help support their mission of providing an alternative to traditional twelve-step groups and facilitating the recovery of individuals struggling with addiction.
