The Daniel Pearl Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mutual respect and understanding among diverse cultures through journalism, music, and dialogue. Founded in honor of journalist Daniel Pearl, who was tragically killed in 2002, the foundation works internationally to empower voices of moderation and confront hatred. They offer journalism fellowships in partnership with Alfred Friendly Press Partners, providing opportunities for journalists from South Asia and the Middle East to work in U.S. newsrooms. The foundation also organizes the annual Daniel Pearl World Music Days, a global network of concerts that celebrate harmony and humanity. Additionally, they support youth initiatives and journalism through the Daniel Pearl Magnet High School in LA Unified, which offers a hands-on curriculum focused on journalism and communications. The Pearl Project, an investigative journalism project at Georgetown University, explores the kidnapping and murder of Daniel Pearl. The foundation also hosts the annual Daniel Pearl Memorial Lecture in Journalism and International Relations at UCLA and the Danny's Alma Mater lecture series at Stanford University. Donations to the Daniel Pearl Foundation are greatly appreciated, as they help support their various programs and initiatives.
