Business Development Director

SUMMARY:  

Responsible for the business development for a all 3PL services to new and existing customers.  Maintains current business relationships to ensure growth and stability.  Represents the Company in a positive image working with our employees, customers, and community in a safe and ethical manner to achieve financial success. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

Sell company services by calling on prospective and established customers. Maintain sales programs by keeping customers informed about available services. Monitors competitive activity and trends to determine customer needs, and price schedules.  Determines priority and effort given to each account based on sales potential and sales maintenance.  Research potential business opportunities within the logistics industry, light assembly and transportation.  Complete knowledge of selling techniques and ability to close sales. Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate company’s goals.

Directs sales forecasting activities and analyzes sales statistics to formulate sales strategies and planning. Prepares accurate pricing schedules and statistical data for presentations to key clients in coordination with Executive Management.


Prepares periodic sales report showing volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.  Required to maintain a high level of confidentiality with Company and customer proprietary information including, financial, trade secret, and business plans.   Additional duties include customer relations, entertainment and community activities. Follows all workplace processes and standards in support of the ISO-9001 Quality certification program.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Prior sales experience of 7 to 10 years required.
