General Manager

Job title: General Manager
Work location: Bensenville, IL
Classification: Exempt
Work hour: 8:30am-5:00pm

This position is responsible for overall operations and increasing sales profit, planning strategy to grow the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit
  • Ensure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objective
  • Insure overall delivery and quality of the product/service offerings to customers
  • Engage in key or targeted customer activities
  • Oversee key hiring and talent development programs
  • Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure and talent
  • Report key results to corporate officers
  • Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategy planning
  • Determine annual unit and gross profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
  • Prepare PowerPoint slides and perform oral presentation to clients and potential clients
  • Prepare contractor / subcontractor Agreements or Contracts
  • Work with lawyers and accountants for any project related issues
  • Establish effectives business partnership to maximize bidding opportunities and business development
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance, researching and recommending new opportunities, recommending profit and service improvements
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Perform other duties as assignee
Qualifications: 

•       Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering management and strong sales background

•       Experience delivering against a complex product roadmap including overseeing maintenance releases as well as new Product Development

•       Ability to clearly articulate a vision and deliver

•       Basic knowledge of production management & quality control process

•       Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power point, Project, and Outlook, or similar

•       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively participate in a multidisciplinary team
