Hispanic marketing pioneer, Isabel Valdés, has
quantified the digital
opportunity in the U.S. Hispanic marketplace. Here are the
highlights:
- 33.3 million Hispanics were
online in September 2011
- Hispanics represent 15% of the
U.S. online market
- The Hispanic online market grew
by 5 million individuals between September 2010
and 2011
- 76% of Hispanic adults were
using cell phones in 2010
- Spanish-preferring Hispanics
are most likely to have an unlimited mobile data plan

Record Traffic in February
Though it was a short month, YaSabe’s usage surpassed January's queries
to set another record high. Frequently searched terms in February
included
queries for restaurants, lawyers, dentists, doctors and florists.
We also see a large number of queries on YaSabe from people looking for
jobs which we see as another strategic opportunity for YaSabe in our
quest to become a local community hub for Hispanics to find and
discover information.

US Hispanics On the Cover
of Time Magazine
Time magazine has made a bold claim on the cover of its March 5,
2012 edition: American Latinos will pick the next President of the
United States The explains how the diverse and eclectic Hispanic
population living in the U.S. could be the determining factor in our
2012 presidential election. And for the first time in the
magazine’s history, The copy on the cover was in Spanish. The
implications are huge because Time Magazine sets the news cycle and the
