The Mental Health Association in Fulton & Montgomery Counties is a community resource dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery from mental illness and chemical dependency. They offer a range of programs, services, and education to individuals of all ages. Their services include residential support, peer support, advocacy, and education. The association is committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health symptoms and/or addictions without prejudice or discrimination. They also work towards eliminating the stigma attached to mental illness through empathetic programs and education. The association offers after school programs for children and provides a safe and supportive environment for their recovery and independence. With offices in Johnstown and Amsterdam, they are open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Additionally, they organize events such as murder mystery dinners to raise awareness and funds for their programs.
