The Fox Theatre is a historic cinema located in Los Angeles, CA. Originally opened in 1918 as the Iris Theatre, it was later renamed the Fox Theatre in 1968. The theater showcases a stunning Art Deco design and features a single screen with 647 seats. Unfortunately, the Fox Theatre has been closed since 1994 due to earthquake damage. However, the building was transformed into a lounge/club called the Playhouse Hollywood in 2009, which operated until it was temporarily closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue also housed the Sweet Love Hangover diner in the lobby. With its rich history and architectural beauty, the Fox Theatre is a beloved landmark in Hollywood.
