What We Celebrate on Labor Day?

Today we celebrate Labor Day  in the United States, but do you know what is the origin of this celebration? The first Monday in September Labor Day celebration is held and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is an annual national tribute to the contributions of workers who have built with the strength the prosperity and welfare of the United States. In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the Labour Day as originally proposed, and the Central Labour Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a “party of the workers” in that date. The idea spread with the growth of labor organizations, and to 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many industrial centers of the country. Beginning in 1894, the first Monday in September was designated “National Day of Work”, a date set by President Grover Cleveland. More than 100 years after the first Labor Day celebration, there is still some doubt as to who first proposed the holiday for workers. Labor Day Parade 1942, Detroit Some records show that Peter J. McGuire, general secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and cofounder of the American Federation of Labor, was first in suggesting a day to honor those who “of the rude nature have delved and carved all the greatness of here. ” But many believe it was really Matthew Maguire, a machinist, who founded the party day. Recent research seems to support the contention that Matthew […]

How to Measure our Progress During Therapy

It makes us nervous when we do not know how much longer we have to do therapy. Yes, it is quite a particular feeling, but there is a way to discover whether or not we are progressing.   We can consider moments of emotional impact before and during therapy.  And it is important to find a psychologist we trust. We can observe how impacting these moments are and how we react to these situations.  If we are honest with ourselves we can deduct if we have advanced, and how our clinical therapy is progressing.   Would you like more tips to know if you are really moving forward?   Before therapy get a notebook and note the following points: Qualify the emotional impact of these events from 1 to 10. Analyze your reactions to influential movements. Describe the situations before and during therapy. Analyze small degrees of progress. Then register the same once the therapy is concluded, or every 10 days. Now compare the 2 reactions, the 2 indexes or the format you have made.  If you are sincere you will note the differences clearly if you have progressed well.  If the contrary is true and you do not see much difference from one behavior or reaction to the other, it means you have not advanced enough.  You may want to search for another specialist. If we could be conscious of our reality, it will increase our strength of will.   Now that you are a YaSabe know-it-all, if you have the strength of will, […]

Waxing at home… Ouch! Do it in a less painful way

Waxing is not something we would choose to do! Unfortunately, it is a necessary step to look beautiful and be more comfortable.  YaSabe brings you the best secrets before, during and after your waxing process! Before you make the decision to wax, it is convenient to choose the adequate moment. The best time we can choose is after a bath.  Why?  Pores are dilated and hair can easily be removed.  Forget the use of oily soaps or body oils at bath time. This will create a greasy film that prevents the wax from sticking to the skin.  Search for nearby locations in your city to find the best waxing services. During the waxing process: Do not focus all your attention on what you are doing.  You may get more painful or nervous!  So distract yourself by looking at the news, favorite music or listening to a recording device. Once the process is complete to avoid inflammation or irritation use ice, but not directly on the skin. Try to wrap it with a towel or cotton cloth. Then swab with alcohol on a cotton puff over the waxing area. This will avoid any type of infection.  Use a ‘stop grow’ hair cream.  There are many on the market.  It is just a question of testing which one is best for your type of skin. You can get the product in supermarkets , pharmacies and more. Remember, if you do not have the courage to wax yourself at home, you can check out our website. Search by […]

How to Know if you Need Glasses

Many people suffer from headaches and daily malaise.  And most of us may not know the reason why. Generally speaking, this may be due to a serious problem with our eyesight, which can be solved with simple eyeglasses. (This includes shades). This device can improve or correct our vision problems.  To prove this fact, try these simple homemade tests that may serve as a snapshot of your present situation. Look with just one eye and compare the quality of both eyes. If one is blurry or tearful, it is possible you may have a problem and need a medical review.   Print a page with different size letters. Try to read from far and near to test your reading abilities. Print a paragraph in different sizes and pay attention to determine which one is more comfortable to read and which one is more difficult. It does not have to be super professional. Just a few letters on a light background with different sizes.   If you note an imperfection in your eyesight with your homemade testing skills, we recommend a visit to an optometrist to examine your eyes.   Visit an optometrist you really trust and do not throw your money away.  Search as long as necessary until you find the right one to help you. Many would love to take your money from you for a simple appointment and charge for the necessary eyeglasses.  First, find out as much as you can, without hidden costs and if your medical insurance can cover you.   Do […]
